At Avid Apparel, we believe that no concept is too small/big for us to handle. What made you want to go into the design field?
I’ve been designing for 10 years now; and when I was young, I’ve always been interested in the Fine Arts. I realized that I can combine my love for the Fine Arts with Digital Media; that’s when I realized that I can go to school and become what I am today, a Graphic Designer.
How would you describe the work environment at Avid Apparel?
At Avid, we have great team spirit overall! The people that work here are amazing, and everyone gets along with one another. I feel that no matter how tight the deadline or the complexity of the job, our team will always come together to get the job done.
How would you help a client through the Design Process if they come to a meeting with an idea but no design concept in mind?
First of all, I would gather as much information as I could from the client. Once I have enough to go by, I would do further research on my own to see if there are any other ideas that we didn’t explore in our meetings.
After that, I usually make several sketches and eliminate the weakest concepts. Once that’s complete, I usually bring two to three strong concepts back to the client. We understand that there’s always room for revisions, so if there’s anything that’s needed to be changed, we can do that easily.
Finally, when the designs are approved, they go straight to production.
What’s the advantage for clients working with our Design Team?
Clients who come to Avid Apparel have a significant advantage because they can receive all the information and advice that they need to create an idea to life. Anything from the smallest to the largest concept, I find that we can always find a way to complete the package.

What made you want to go into the design field?
I wanted to work in a field where I can harness my creative abilities, and was drawn to the tangibility of the work and dedication that I put into designing. Here at Avid, I see the hard work come to life from concept to the final product.
How would you describe the work environment at Avid Apparel?
We have a fun and unique atmosphere! We’re a group of young people who strive towards the same goal; working as a team to get our great products out there and see results, while enjoying our jobs and times with each other in the office.
How would you help a client through the Design Process if they come to a meeting with an idea but no design concept in mind?
Usually we like to sit down with the client and get a feel of what they have in mind in terms of design inspirations. After that, we’ll often send out preliminary designs and sketches to ensure that we’ve met their expectations.

What made you want to go into the design field?
As a recent graduate, I’ve been designing for at least 4 years within and out of school. I’ve really liked the mixture of creativity, critical thinking and problem solving; so I like being able to have someone come with a problem that we need to solve in a visual way, and be able to mix the two together.
How would you describe the work environment at Avid Apparel?
Very open and inviting; friendly and full of a lot of creative people with a bunch of different talents!
How would you help a client through the Design Process if they come to a meeting with an idea but no design concept in mind?
I would start by researching into the design they’re looking at and what they’re designing it for to make sure it’s a good fit for what they need. I would then sketch a lot, and try to approach my designs through a different perspective. Once I feel content with my design ideas, I’ll take a couple of the stronger concepts to refine more until we get a design that the client feels confident in.

We’re knowledgable about current trends and styles, especially for the design side it. I feel like we have a lot of multi-talented designers, which gives us that advantage to approach a concept through various design techniques.
